As part of the Reef Check network, we offer local community reef monitoring with a global connection.
We got our start in Townsville in 2001, and quickly began bringing the Reef Check method to communities across Queensland. Since then, we have expanded to more than 75 priority monitoring locations along the Queensland coast and are now growing our reef health monitoring activities on Western Australia's Ningaloo Coast.
We continue to work to build strong community hubs that empower people to protect reefs and oceans through citizen science. We connect communities to information and each other in order to enhance conservation outcomes.
