The Reef Ambassador program is a ground breaking project, training community outreach volunteers to actively inspire, motivate and support their communities to better understand and help protect local marine environments.
Although RCA is not an advocacy organisation, we recognise the potential power of the right blend of science, optimism and concrete action that can empower passionate community members to support reef resilience in their local area.
Through this strategic, science-based and collaborative outreach network, we seek to build a network of passionate and informed community members, helping to translate our citizen science findings into meaningful action.
We are excited to announce we are running another course staring at the end of September 2024. This will consist of 3 nights of online theory (30 September, 7 and 14 October, 6pm - 9pm) followed by an in-person event in either SEQ, Whitsundays or Townsville, depending on where you are located.
Complete the online google form to register. There is a non-refundable fee of $150 that is payable prior to commencement.
