Line Bay

Line Bay is an evolutionary ecologist with an interest in climate change adaption. She brings to our science committee her extensive experience in coral biology, ecology and reef restoration. 

Line holds a PhD in Population Genetics from JCU, Townsville and has previously sat on numerous marine science panels and committees, including as the Chair of the Science Advisory Panel for Reef Habitat Restoration and on the expert committee for adaptive strategies to climate change in coastal ecosystems (NCCARF). 

Her research integrates physiological, genetic and genomic data to understand how corals interact with their environment. Line has published dozens of science and technical papers in international journals on her specialised topics
