Coast to Coral talk (Sunshine Coast)

Turtley Awesome!

This month we'll hear from a turtle tag team from the Sunshine Coast's Turtle Care program to get the latest on our local turtles.

Simone Bosshard will shed some light on how the WA and QLD loggerheads compare. Simone has spent the last summer in remote WA monitoring nesting beaches, and is now responsible for the turtles on the southern part of the Sunshine Coast.

Sherida Holford has been a volunteer with Coolum and North Shore Coast Care Marine Turtle programme for 11 years. Coolum and North Shore Coast Care protect the nests of Endangered Loggerhead and Vulnerable Green Marine Turtles, transport sick marine turtles for rehab, collect data on our northern beaches. Sherida will be joined by Susan Richards, another experienced volunteer of Coolum and North Shore Coast Care, who is the driving force behind their marine debris programme.

Stay after the event for a discussion with the presenters and other attendees and enjoy a pizza-rific snack.
