On Saturday December 5th Reef Check Australia Ambassadors will be coordinating a beach clean up at Rose Bay, Bowen. Volunteers are invited to join us on the beach to participate in a Tangaroa Blue Marine Debris Clean Up, and AUSMAP microplastics survey. Depending on the weather conditions, for those who are comfortable in the water we may even go for a snorkel and participate in marine based citizen science activities including Eye on the Reef reef surveys and CoralWatch surveys.

Please bring your own water bottle, suncream, hat and snacks. We will provide gloves, bags and other clean up equipment. If you are keen to get in the water please make sure you bring your own snorkeling equipment and most importantly, stinger suit as it is stinger season.
