Empowering people to save our reefs and oceans

In June 2013 we launched Reef Check on the Ningaloo Coast. This was our first ever Western Australia training course and our maiden voyage helps to build the framework for a sustainable long-term program. We trained 9 new awesome and enthusiastic snorkel volunteers and established 5 new long-term reef monitoring sites.

This project is supported by Reef Check Australia, through funding from the Australian Government's Caring for our Country.

We would like to say a very big thank you to local supporters including the Western Australia Department of Environment and Conservation, Cape Conservation Group, Ningaloo Atlas, Ningaloo Ecology Cruises, Exmouth Diving Centre and Ningaloo Reef Dive.
